I’m a designer, researcher, facilitator and teacher living in Edinburgh, Scotland’s beautiful capital
I conduct behavioural research for design and I train and coach user experience designers. I’m a trained teacher in the Interactive Teaching Method and teach Alexander Technique.

I work with large organisations, small businesses and individuals

I combine expertise from multiple disciplines, bringing a unique blend of skills and insights to help people make effective changes.

My focus on enhancing human experiences can help whether you’re creating a new product or service, improving an existing one, or, if you’re interested in personal development using the Alexander Technique.
Why human-centred design?
To avoid this scenario:
You’re interacting with something and:
- It doesn’t do what you need
- Does things in a way that confuses or frustrates you
- Hasn’t done what you expected it to do, or thought it had done
For example:
- A website that directs you round in circles looking for information
- Pulling a door to open it when you should push it, simply because there’s a handle
- Not getting (or successfully canceling) your online grocery delivery because you didn’t realise you had to click ‘save’

This not only frustrates the people using the product or service, it costs organisations – money for support and a reputation hit.
I can help you to avoid this.
Work with me to design products and services which meet end-user needs.
